EXO-M’s Tao cries and promises to return to “Laws of the Jungle”

EXO-M‘s Tao couldn’t hold back his tears as he thought about parting with the members on his last episode of Laws of the Jungle in the Soloman Islands.
On the October 31st episode of Laws of the Jungle, the members were recounting Kim Byung Man and Jung Doo Hong‘s amazing feats as they all enjoyed a hearty meal together. While everyone was enjoying their meal, Tao’s normally cheerful expression changed to a sullen one as he thought about leaving the cast of the show.
Tao held his emotions in until Kim Byung Man mentioned that it was Tao’s last day on the show, and at that point, Tao let his tears flow.
Although Tao initially had a hard time adjusting to surviving in the jungle, he had come to enjoy his time in the wild and his bond with the cast members. Tao promised that one day he would return to the jungle, as a man who would be able to take care of everyone.
In other news, Tao was recently featured in Super Junior-M Zhoumi‘s “Rewind” and Zhang Li Yin‘s “Not Alone” and “Agape”

“Modern Farmer” Writer Explains and Apologizes: “I Didn’t Have the Intention to Belittle EXO”

After fans of EXO (known as EXO-L) have expressed their disappointment in the upcoming SBS weekend drama “Modern Farmer” for using EXO’s name in the drama, lead actor Lee Hong Ki of FTISLAND has made his apology. Many fans came to the defense of the singer-actor and said that he’s not the one who should be apologizing as it isn’t his fault but that of the writer’s.
Thus, on October 16, screenwriter Kim Ki Ho, the writer of “Modern Farmer,” has explained his side and made an apology at the preview screening of the upcoming SBS weekend drama.
Writer Kim Ki Ho explained, “In the drama, the band members did well seven years before but I wondered whether we could express their terrible situation even more comically. So while having the same name as this generation’s icon EXO, I thought it would be even more comical if, because of the same name, they (the fictional band) would even be denounced as a fake singer. That’s why I named the band ‘EXO’ (or EX-SO, short for “Excellent Souls).”
“It wasn’t my intention to degrade EXO. The EXO fans have gotten very angry now. I thought I needed to care more. I’m sorry,” Kim Ki Ho apologized.
“However, I hope they think that it’s a dramatic device. I hope they don’t take offense too much and just take it as a dramatic interest and something that adds to the drama,” added Kim Ki Ho.
SBS’ upcoming weekend drama “Modern Farmer” tells the story of a rock band composed of four young men who wanted to escape life and become farmers instead.
“Modern Farmer” will air its first episode on October 18, 8:45 p.m. (KST) on SBS.

FTISLAND’s Lee Hong Ki Apologizes to EXO-L For “Modern Farmer” Band Name Incident

FTISLAND’s Lee Hong Ki has recently apologized to the fans of EXO (EXO-L) who were offended with the use of EXO’s group name in the SBS weekend drama, “Modern Farmer.”
On October 14, at the production presentation of the new SBS weekend drama “Modern Farmer,” Lee Hong Ki spoke up about the name of his fictional band in the drama series, “Excellent Souls” which, when abbreviated in Korean, is “EXO.”
“It must have been sensitive for the EXO fans. I apologize,” Lee Hong Ki sent his apology.
The singer-actor then explained, “Actually, I was worried when I received the team name ‘EXO’ (in the drama). The message board was already terrorized and each of the articles had bad comments.” He then followed, “I’m from an idol group myself. So if I see that a drama used FTISLAND’s name, I think I will be glad. But I think it was a sensitive part for the EXO fans.”
Lee Hong Ki then clarified, “The meaning of ‘EXO’ in the drama is different. I hope there’s no misunderstanding. (Actually) in the drama, there’s a scene wherein I got slapped and kicked in the knee by a female high school student because of the name ‘EXO,’” and made everyone laugh.
SBS’ upcoming weekend drama “Modern Farmer” tells the story of four young men who wanted to escape life and become farmers instead. Here, Lee Hong Ki plays the role of Lee Min Ki, the leader, guitarist, and vocalist of the band Excellent Souls.

EXO D.O’s “Cart” Co-Stars Reveal They Asked for His Autograph and Picture on Movie Set

The soon-to-be-released movie titled “Cart” tells the story of women who live their lives working temporary jobs, and EXO’s D.O (Do Kyung Soo) will be acting alongside actress Yeom Jung Ah, portraying a mother-son relationship.
In the movie’s storyline, D.O has taken on the role of a rebellious teenager who is going through a tough period of adolescence. Off the stage, he is prepared to show his talent as an actor, different from his charms as an idol singer.
During the press conference for “Cart,” D.O’s co-star and acting senior, Kim Young Ae, shared about the EXO member’s popularity on the movie set: “There was a time when Kyung Soo visited the set when he didn’t have a scheduled filming. So many people were asking for his autograph and to take pictures that even I was embarrassed to see it. I told him to quickly go home because I thought it was difficult for him. I don’t know if it’s become a part of his everyday life, but just watching him, it seemed so tiring.”
Actress Moon Jung Hee also added, “We’re all actors working together, but the people around us would ask us to get Kyung Soo’s autograph, so even we were a part of that. I felt sorry [about that].”
However, D.O seemed to laugh it off and assured his co-stars that it was okay.
Meanwhile, “Cart” is scheduled to open up in theaters this November. Are you planning to watch it?
