EXO-M’s Tao leaves message directed towards sasaeng fans during Chuseok holidays

Amidst news of idols celebrating or working during the special Chuseok holidays, EXO-M’s Tao posted, then deleted, an unsettling message directed towards sasaeng fans.
Sasaeng fans are stalker fans of K-Pop idols that go beyond one’s privacy to see them in person. Being followed is unfortunately common practice for idols, but Tao has spoken up about them doing so even during a brief vacation throughout the weekend.
Showing a trio set of snapshots that indicate the fans’ pursuit through their cars’ headlights, Tao wrote on Monday, September 8th,
“Happy Midautumn Festival. I’m not really sure what to say. Let’s forget about following us on Chuseok from Korea to our vacation spots, but now you’re trailing us in cars to where we’re staying, please don’t overdo it! I’ve already said this over 10 times. Please… let me, Sehun, and Suho have a nice rest and vacation during Chuseok. Right now I have the urge to fly back to Korea, so please don’t force us. For an artist to be doing this much… keke.”
Despite his rather formal and lighter tone, his distress at their persistence is evident. Awareness of sasaeng fans is thus rising again through various online portals, re-addressing a common problem that has yet to be fully acknowledged by law.
What do you think of Tao’s deleted message? And what should be done regarding these sasaeng fans?
